Liana Mendoza, NYU Tisch Graduate, was born on November 19, in Los Angeles, California. Acting and singing run through Liana's veins from blood relative, who is a national treasure and left behind a legacy with his passing, Vicente Fernandez. Liana Mendoza is now named "Top 5 successful Spanish speaking women" by Cosmopolitan Magazine. Mendoza is listed, alongside Penélope Cruz and Paz Vega. Soon after, was honored as a "Trailblazer Performer" by SAG-AFTRA and received congressional recognition for their contributions to society. Beginning as a dancer at the tender age of 3 years old, joining a ballet company at 10. By age 12, Liana was 1 of 15 students invited to attend Hamilton High School Academy of Music and Performing Arts. At 18, her calling was clear. Liana booked the lead role of Disney's Princess Jasmine in an onstage play in Anaheim, Ca. Attended Pace University for acting but also had strong desires to write, produce and direct. Mendoza was subsequently accepted into NYU Tisch School of the Arts on scholarship to complete the education needed to achieve such heights. Learning from great professors and academic directors; some of which include David K. Irving, Thomas J. Mangan, Sam Pollard, and Janet Grillo. A real treat was learning from speaker and Directors Judd Apatow and Ang Lee and Producer Tom Lassally. Liana's education now equips them for a career in Production as well as Acting since graduating. Mendoza's acting career began onstage and has retained their association with the theater. Continuing to refine actor skills at Ivana Chubbuck Studio working directly with world renowned teacher Ivana Chubbuck. Mendoza began a television career in the Latin Market and soon after obtained prominent roles in the American Market as well, first starring in the romantic comedy 'Internet Dating' opposite Katt Williams. Mendoza also joined the cast of many hit television shows like Bones, Scandal and Better Call Saul. Since working on the FX, Emmy-Award winning show, American Horror Story (2015), Liana has gained more notoriety and it continues to build. The show and cast were nominated for a Golden Globe (2016) and then went on to guest star on shows Ray Donovan, Baskets, Unsolved, Disney's Proud Family: Louder and Prouder (2021) and eventually the Starring role in feature film Social Disturbance which Mendoza plays an obsessed psychopath which Liana also Executive Produced and Produced. Currently, Liana Mendoza is a well known actor and full time producer helping others find their own stardom as well. Believing in the philosophy that we all pass the elevator back down--in the words of Jack Lemmon--she involves herself in youth programs, charity organizations; Every Monday Matters, Stand up in the Halls and Students Run LA (SRLA) where she mentors at-risk youth and has trained them to run alongside her in the Los Angeles Marathon. She also fosters and rescues animals in her spare time.
